Assessments that assist with effective treatment,
planning, and progress monitoring of obese individuals
Obesity is a rapidly growing concern in today’s society. The dramatic increase in the number of affected individuals spans all age groups, from infants to adults, and includes the whole spectrum of severity, from mild to moderate overweight issues to extreme morbid obesity concerns.
Obese individuals are at a much higher risk for developing health complications and experiencing significant physical, mental, and behavioural comorbidities, social stigma, as well as an overall lower quality of life. Treatment solutions can include psychological interventions, such as cognitive-behavioural therapy, medication management, and in some cases, bariatric surgery.
Pearson is committed to helping you help your clients and patients effectively. Several of our assessment solutions can assist you in reliably determining underlying patterns and treatment outcomes, and taking the first steps to improve lives.
