University Outreach Program Terms and Conditions

Effective July 31, 2005, the new University Outreach Program replaced all existing University programs offered by Pearson Assessment, including the previous University Training Program that extended a 40% discount on products used for training purposes to its members. All new orders placed under the umbrella of this new program will initially require a completed University Outreach Membership Registration Form, a copy of which can be found in the program information package.

The following Program Terms and Conditions apply:

  • By registering as a qualified member, any university or training site affiliated with a university will be eligible to receive a 50% discount on PsychCorp published assessment tools used for course training. Product orders intended for purposes unrelated to student education and training cannot be considered eligible for this program.
  • A 50% discount on product orders will be extended to qualified, enrolled students working with Pearson Assessment tools in their thesis/dissertation. It will also be extended to researchers using Pearson Assessment tools in their studies.
  • Discounts offered as part of this program may not be combined with other offers.
  • All product orders must include a University Purchase Order and signature from the Department Chair to be qualified and processed.
  • For Hospitals, Health Care Centres, or other university-affiliated Purchase Orders, corresponding documentation (e.g., University Purchase Order and signature from the University Department Chair) must be provided in order to be eligible for the program.
  • All orders submitted for the University Outreach Program discount must be billed and shipped to the applicable University site and to the attention of the site coordinator named on the Membership Registration Form.
  • The program includes product training opportunities to instructors and students as follows:
    • Option A: Product overviews can be provided by Pearson Assessment Clinical Measurement Consultants. The University will select the assessment tool to be discussed, invite the participants, and host the session.
    • Option B: Any sessions requiring a more in-depth discussion to a larger group may require Pearson Assessment to invite a professional consultant to present. These sessions must have 50 or more participants. A session fee charged by the University might apply. In these cases, Pearson Assessment will provide a free product to the University Practicum Clinic (availability based on the participant dynamics).
  • Registered members of this program qualify for an involvement in product development opportunities.
  • Registered members of this program are eligible for a subscription to the Pearson Assessment bi-annual newsletter to learn about current issues and tools in the respective communities.
  • The program participation will automatically be renewed. To ensure updated member information, you will be mailed your current member profile for your review and updates.
  • All graduate students enrolled in courses using the offered training materials are eligible to receive a gift certificate to use on a future order valid for three years after graduating. To initiate this process, a list including the students’ names, contact data, telephone numbers, email address, and their level of education must be submitted to Pearson Assessment by the Program Director or Site Coordinator. All information should be sent to Julia Riccelli-Cabral, Marketing Coordinator at Pearson Assessment, at tel. (416) 644-2150, or via e-mail at julia.riccelli@pearson.com.
    • Master’s degree-level students will receive a Can. $250 gift certificate
    • Doctoral degree-level students will receive a Can. $500 gift certificate
  • Participation in this new program also includes the selection of two free products from a list specified by Pearson Assessment with the purpose to assist in the expansion of test libraries. For more information, please contact julia.riccelli@pearson.com
