Aurelio Prifitera
Group President & CEO, Clinical Assessment/Worldwide
Aurelio Prifitera joined Pearson Assessment's clinical division, then known as "The Psychological Corporation", in 1985. He was President of the division from November 1999 until August 2003 when he was named Publisher of Pearson Assessment and President of Pearson Assessment International. Aurelio also held positions as Vice President of "The Psychological Corporation" and Director of its psychological measurement and human resource measurement groups. As a Senior Project Director, Aurelio developed intellectual, personality and neuropsychological assessments, and coordinated national standardization and validation of psychological assessments.
Aurelio is a member and fellow of the American Psychological Association. He is also a member of the International Neuropsychological Society, the National Academy of Neuropsychology, the National Association of School Psychologists and the Texas Psychological Association.
Aurelio earned his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Loyola University and a Master's degree in Psychology at the University of Illinois. He also holds a Master's degree in Social Science from the University of Chicago as well as a Master's degree in Business Administration from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology at Syracuse University.
Carol Watson
President and General Manager, Pearson Clinical Assessment North America
Carol began her career in test publishing more than 25 years ago with Compu-Psych, a pioneering company in computerized assessment. After NCS acquired Compu-Psych in 1983, she held several positions at NCS, until joining American Guidance Service in 1990. She re-joined NCS in 1992 and held several positions before becoming General Manager of the Clinical Assessment business in 2000. She has been President of Clinical Assessment, North America since 2007. Carol served as a board member for the Association of Test Publishers for 10 years, including two years as Chairman.
Carol graduated with honors from William Jewell College, and completed the Minnesota Executive Program at the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management.
Scott Pawson
General Manager, Pearson Assessment in Canada
Scott Pawson began his publishing career with Pearson Assessment/The Psychological Corporation in 1989 after completing his Master's degree in Psychology at Wilfrid Laurier University. He worked as a Measurement Consultant for "The Psychological Corporation" until 1995. From 1995 to 2001 Scott worked as a Senior Test Specialist for Thomson Nelson. Scott returned to Pearson Assessment as Sales Manager from 2001 to 2003 when he became General Manager for the Canadian operations. Based in Toronto, Scott is responsible for all aspects of the company's business in Canada. He is a member of the Canadian Psychological Association as well as the Canadian Association of School Psychologists.
