Event Participation/Cancellation Policy
Registration
Pearson offers complimentary workshops and workshops that are based on a registration fee. For the second category of workshops, registration fees are indicated per person. Applicable taxes apply. The fee amounts are based on the date of the registration receipt with full payment at Pearson. For early bird discounts, if applicable, registrations and payment must be received at Pearson on the last day of the discount timeframe. Should payment be received after the indicated deadlines, the regular (higher) registration fee will apply. Registration fees include: workshop participation and documentation as applicable, name badge, coffee break(s), and a networking lunch where applicable.
Payment
Payment for registration fees (if applicable) must accompany the registration form. Registrations received without payment will not be processed or confirmed. Payment is accepted via credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) as well as a P.O.- based processing for groups from larger institutions that already have an account with Pearson Assessment Canada Inc.
Cancellation policy
For complimentary workshops, Pearson appreciates a note from the registrant if he/she will be unable to attend the event. For workshops based on a registration fee that might result in potential refunds for the registrant, the registration cancellation has to be communicated in writing to Pearson Canada Assessment Inc. by email to work.shops@pearson.com or by fax to 1-800-665-7307 and will be subject to the following conditions:
- Cancellations received up to 4 weeks prior to the event will be refunded with a deduction of a 10% administration fee.
- Cancellations received up to 2 weeks prior to the event will be refunded with a deduction of a 50% administration fee.
- No registration fee refunds will be issued for cancellations received 2 weeks or less prior to the event.
Name changes
Registered participants who are unable to attend a workshop may nominate a substitute participant by notifying Pearson in writing at the latest 3 business days prior to the event. Such changes must be communicated via email to work.shops@pearson.com or by fax to 1-800-665-7307. For workshops that are based on a registration feel, invoices processed before that date cannot be changed. Changes are no longer possible and are treated as cancellation(s) if received less than 2 days prior to the event as indicated in the paragraph above.

Pearson Canada Assessment Inc. cannot be held responsible for any loss, injury or damage to any property, whatever the cause may be. Liability of persons and enterprises providing means of transportation or other services, however, remains unaffected. Should, for any reason, the venue or speakers change, or the event be cancelled, Pearson Canada Assessment Inc. will endeavour to reschedule the workshop, but shall not be held responsible for any costs, damages, or expenses incurred by registrants beyond those fees collected as a registration fee for the workshop.
